Curro presents presents at the 3rd minisimposio de investigación, the poster «A Fully programmable Robot Device for NMR Tubes»
The device basically operates as follows: First, the adapter containing the NMR tube is fixed onto the shaft of the electric motor. The shaft will be always be at the 360º position thanks to the Hall Effect sensor already integrated. Next, the user selects through the display control the operation mode and rate. The start/stop button gives the order to the micro-controller to start the rotation. Once the experiment is completed, the rotation of the electric motor stops and the adapter moves into its initial position. All the variables are controlled by a free software that allows the control of the robot via computer, tablet or smartphone, even in a remote control way.

NMR-MBC: The group involves organic and organometallic chemistry together with advanced NMR methods and X-ray crystallography. These have been always applied to unsolved structural challenges in chemistry at the molecular level. We are always motivated to unravel how substances behave in solution, how species react, and which kind of interaction exists in the systems under study. Recently, we are also focus on the development of new optimization algorithms applied to molecular diffusion.
